The decision to retire is important and it can depend on many factors. The sections below are meant to provide current retirees, as well as members who are considering retirement, with information related to the retirement process under the HRM Pension Plan.

Retirement Process

When you decide to retire, there are several steps you will need to take in order to commence your benefit. These steps are outlined here.

Payment Schedule

Monthly pension payments are payable on the 1st banking day of each month. Click here for a detailed payment schedule for 2023 and 2024.

Online Access to the Northern Trust Participant Website

Once you have received your first monthly pension payment, you can complete the online enrolment process to obtain your benefit information. Click here for further details.
